for Environmental Studies is a unique regional environmental education and research program in the Middle East, preparing future generations of Arab and Jewish leaders to cooperatively solve the region’s environmental challenges with richer and more innovative, peace-building solutions. The Arava Institute has educated over 800 Israeli, Jordanian, Palestinian and other students to advance an environmentally sustainable future for the region. He serves as Chairman of the Green Movement, Israel's green party.
